Testing

Before dispatch, each APT transformer undergoes all routine tests according to relevant standard specifications. Test as follows as per IS1180

Tests Performed

Ratio test at all taps
Measurement of no-load loss and current at rated voltage and frequency
Measurement of load loss and impedance volts at rated current
Induced over-voltage test Separate source voltage withstand test
Winding resistance (HV&LV)
Insulation resistance

Additional Tests

If requested by the buyer, the following tests can
also be carried out at an additional cost.

Temperature rise test
Impulse test for lighting
